Curriculum Overviews

The Connected  Curriculum is carefully planned to develop links between subjects and address the elements of the national curriculum, ensuring progression for the children and appropriate pitch and challenge.

The overview of topics we are teaching to cover the National Curriculum is something that we have worked with our partner school St.Mary's to set a two year rolling cycle of subjects.

The Connected Curriculum is driven by the National Curriculum objectives and the Oxfam Global Themes and Skills which are detailed in the link below. 

Global Themes Whole School Progression 

In order for our children to be Brave Changemakers and to 'have their voice' we want them to utilise the following Brave Changemaker key skills, these are: critical and creative thinking, empathy, self-awareness, communication,  cooperation and
conflict resolution and managing Change.

The creative curriculum topic overviews for each class are sent out to parent's and carers every half term and can be found on the class pages.  If you would like any further information, please speak to your child’s class teacher.
